Haymount United Methodist Church Endowments
Haymount United Methodist Church Endowment Funds are permanent funds where the original gift stays invested and the income provides long-term funding to enhance the ministries of the church for generations to come.
An endowed fund is a charitable gift established in perpetuity in which the principal is invested for total return (both income and appreciation). The annual payout comes from the fund’s income, not from the original gifts. Haymount’s endowments are designed to keep the principal amount intact while using the investment income for ministry and mission.
Endowment funds are designed to provide for ministries and needs beyond the annual operating budget of the church.
Haymount currently has twelve funds that support ministry both within and outside of the walls of the church. The endowment funds exist in three categories: mission, facilities, and general.
