This Sunday, we heard from Pastor Allen during our 2nd week of our sermon series "Finding Freedom in Jesus". In Pastor Allen's message entitled "Loved" we talk about the  foundational Christian truth that human identity begins with being chosen and deeply loved by God. Before believers can effectively love others, they must first embrace and rest in their identity as children of God.

Each week we will share a meditation verse and a passage from Drs. JP Foster & Matt Williams's book "Finding Freedom in Jesus:

But God proves his love fur us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us

Those who have not experienced love will often seek to fill the emptiness with other people or things. We need love; we need connection with people. Without love, we can feel lonely, isolated, or worthless. Have you ever been loved? Truly loved? Only God’s love can bring true joy and fulfillment. Who am I? I am loved in Jesus. I can betransformed when I embrace that truth.
